Enjoying the weather!

We have really been enjoying this weather lately, I hope its here to stay! Last Friday Grant and I went to my Dads and spent the night since it was Daddy's turn for "Guys night out"! Deloris and I went to Opry Mills to get Grant some new shoes and Dad kept Grant.. it was great! After a good three hour nap, we decided to take Grant to Cherokee to see the ducks and he loved it!

Some of these ducks were as big as he was and he'd get a little scared of them! He would say "Quack Quack... Mama.... Hold You" over and over!!!!!! They were a little agressive since people feed them all the time, but they weren't mean! They just wanted that bread!

When we got ready to leave Grant followed them yelling "BYE...... Bash" (meaning Bath).. he thought he could go take a bath with them.. therefore leaving was not fun! But all in all it was a fun little adventure!

We came home and played hard outside! Dad grilled some delicious hamburgers and we played a few rounds of Ladder Ball!!!

Of course, when we went to Opry Mills DeeDee had to pick him up some goodies, so we wound up with a cowboy hat and a Handy Manny Tent... and he loves both of them!

As you all know Grant is OBSESSED with "gashes" and I got him a new pair with Sharks on them! He now has 4 pair... we dont leave home without them!

And of course no visit would be complete without a photo session with Papa in their Masters gear!

It was a great visit and we had a great time! Thanks for the delicious meals and quality time!

Papa G and DeeDee's!

Last Friday Grant went over to Papa and DeeDee's to give me a break! Between Grant and Franklin being sick, I thought I had lost my marbles!!!! Twelve loads of laundry, two cans of lysol, and a migraine later.. we are all good to go!!!!!
Grant loves going to Dad's house.. he gets nonstop attention and it was a great change of scenery for him, esp since he'd been couped up in the house for an entire week!

DeeDee picked him up a new outfit... This picture made me so sad... is that MY BABY???? Does he not look like a 5 yr old kid? ugh... it makes me so sad! Anyways.. love the picture of my little "Huckleberry Finn"!

Grant was OBSESSED with this stool. They sd he carried it EVERYWHERE and helped himself to whatever he could find! They sd he would get his own juice/milk and of course a snack!

Im sure it was planned but I find this funny. Check out the screen on the TV.. for those of you who dont know.. my Dad's name is Gary.. and notice Grant is standing directly in front of the tv.. I guess he's my Dad's "Pal"!

This next photo is a SHOCKER for me. Grant slept in a big boy bed the ENTIRE TIME .. even at nap time! Now he would NOT do this at home if I offered him all of Toys R Us. I was so proud of him but at the same time I was sad.. another punch in the gut that "my baby" is a big boy! Sorry Bud but when you're at home, your butt is staying in a crib so I can keep you confined!

Here he is winding down for a nap watching Nemo... its his favorite part.. he says "WOW".

The Creek

This past week we have all been stuck in the house due to the "crud". Since Grant was feeling better, I thought it would be a nice treat for him to get a milkshake and go to the park! We found a little creek and kept whispering "crick"... I tried to get in on video.. instead.. this is what I got!

GiGi and Pops House!

This past weekend we headed up to Dayton, Ohio to GiGi and Pops (Franklin's Grandparents) house! They haven't seen Grant since October and they were itching to spoil him! And.. they did a great job at it! Grant LOVES cuddling with his Gigi and teasing/playing with Pops!

Here is Grant waiting on his breakfast (Gigi made him biscuits and gravy and sausage with fresh fruit!!!)... Franklin sat at the same snack bar when he was little... Gigi says they are the same barstools and she doesnt have the heart to get new ones! I can't say that I blame her!


Grant constantly brings us books to read.. here he is begging Pops to read to him! I wished I had a picture of them playing... I was certain I took one and can't seem to find it :( But Grant would run up to Pops and yell "BOOGER" and Pops would tickle him and say "IM NO BOOGER"... this went on and on!!! It was so sweet and funny!


And when he got sleepy.. where did he go? To Gigi of course!!!! He looks so peaceful .. however he looks as long as Gigi!!!


I find this picture very funny... Franklin was taking a nap and Grant crawled all over him, took him books.. and he never moved! That man can sleep through anything!!!!

Breakfast #2... homemade pancakes and fruit! That woman is one fantastic cook!

The other reason for our trip was for Franklin's Uncle Jeff! The family and close friends put together a benefit for him before he heads to Cleveland for the final stages of his treatment! Jeff means so much to so many people.. we were so honored to be able to attend this special party for him!

Tons of people came to support Jeff and lots of money was raised! Unfortunately I dont have any more pictures because Grant decided it was time for us to go! :)

These Boots Are Made For Walkin!

What little boy doesnt love boots? Franklin's Mom (Grandma) got Grant some boots for Christmas and he is just now getting to wear them and LOVES THEM! He wants to wear them all the time no matter what he has on! The best is when he is in his sweatpants or just a diaper!

He is also obsessed with his daddy's boots! Franklin's boots are so heavy and Grant can hardly stand in them but he loves being like Daddy!

He is such a Daddy's boy these days!

I hope his boots fit for a while.. because he sure loves them and its hard to find shoes to fit those fat little feet!
