A lot of "Christmasing"

Buckle up .. you're in for an adventure.. this could take a while!
Boy oh boy did we have a busy week last week! We had two playdates, a visit to Opryland Hotel (both of those will have its own post!) and 4 different Christmas celebrations to attend, not including Christmas with just the 3 of us! Needless to say we are beyond pooped! Grant has been sleeping until 8 almost everyday, which has NEVER happened!
I hate to put all the pictures in a slide show (because I feel like you dont really get to see them good) but considering the fact that I took 145 pictures (I narrowed it down to about 40) .. I felt like that was the easiest way!

We started off on Christmas Eve by heading to Cookeville. We made our first stop at "Grandma and Pa Ron's" .. being that it was mild weather Grant got to go outside with Grandma and Uncle Sam to see the fish and frogs in the pond! He also got to go for a nice swing with Gma and Pa! Uncle Sam got his guitar out and Grant would go up to him and say "Tar Tar".. Sam was kind enough to let him play with it! Grandma had tons of delicious food to munch on and Grant got to curl up and watching Finding Nemo (for the 1 millionth time) and unwrap presents!! It was lots of fun!

Then we headed to Gpa's house.. .oh boy... it looked like "Chrismas Vacation".. I felt pretty certain we were at Clark Griswald's house!!! That is one man crazy about his Grandson! He had lights, garland, dancing Santas, snowmen, and a snow village... I have never seen so much stuff! The funniest part was.. the gifts.. OH MY.. between the 5 adults.. Grant's stack literally filled the den! There is a picture of it.. it was hilarious! You should've seen us trying to pack up the truck to come home.. it was crazy! Frank had some great food as well and little Grant made it till about 9 and he got goofy tired so we loaded him up and headed home!

Christmas morning we had to wake Grant up at 8:10.. I dont think I've ever had to wake him up! We brought him downstairs and he sd "Santa".. I sd "Yes .. Santa came".. he was still sleepy and couldnt really figure out exactly what was going on.. but he managed to find a sucker in his stocking.. and well. .. that just started the morning off right! He got on his 4-wheeler and took off.. it was hilarious! I was surprised he figured it out! He loved all of his gifts and we had a great morning! Its so much fun having a child on Christmas! He's the best gift I've ever received!

Then we headed over to Papa and DeeDee's for a huge spread! It was SO DELCIOUS! Poor Uncle Richard was sitting on the couch eating a cookie and of course here comes Grant and swipes his cookie in mid bite!!! HAHAHA! You gotta watch my kid when it comes to cookies! Look close.. I managed to get it on camera! DeeDee and Papa got us a swimming pool for Christmas.. a big 10x30 pool!!!!! So friends.. come on over this summer! BTW.. check out the pictures of Papa and DeeDee with the boys.. hysterical.. everyone of them were screaming.. and in one of them.. you cant even see Grants head!

And last but definately not least we headed over to Buddy and Grandaddy's for a fabo celebration! Again.. more delicious food and bountiful presents! We were sorry that Kelly, little Tol, and Yates couldnt make it due to a stomach virus, we missed them! After everyone left Franklin, Grant, and I stayed and played Yatzee with Granny and Gpa.. it was a lot of fun!

I'm still not sure what we're gonna do with all of Grant's stuff! I'm thinking that with the money I got.. possibly floor the attic!!! With the money that Grant got.. we're gonna get him a membership to the Discovery Center!!!! Super excited about that! Lord knows he doesnt need anymore toys!

Well.. thats it... lots of visiting, family, and gifts.. we are so blessed to have such a wonderful family! We tend to lose the meaning of Christmas due to all the madness.. but as we wrapped it all up .. Saturday night as I snuggled in bed I remembered that none of this was possible without the love and sacrifices of Jesus! I'm so excited we have the freedom to celebrate his birth and life!
Enjoy the slide show! Sorry its so long!

A little bit tired!

Sorry for not blogging lately! We've all had the "crud" and I've been up to my elbows in laundry, making chicken soup, and lots of cuddling with Grant! Let me just say that I suddenly remember what having a newborn is like. Holy Moly... Thursday night I got to go out with some friends to celebrate Mary Leigh's birthday and I was WAY PASSED due for a girls night! I got home about 9:15 and didnt get in bed until about 10, which you all know is seriously partying for this girl! Anyways, would you know that Grant started crying at 11? I went upstairs, rocked him and put him back down. I didnt even get his door closed and he was screaming again! That child did NOT go back to sleep until 2:45am. I feel like a total zombie. Im still not really sure what was wrong with him. He would rub his jaws and cry, so it makes me feel like his teeth hurt, so I gave him some Motrin. He was also saying "Eat, Eat, Eat". I thought, this is weird because Franklin sd he ate good. So I did something I never do, I went and got him some milk and he drank 7 ozs. So either the child was truly hungry or the cold milk felt good to his teeth! Whatever.. he only slept till about 7:30 that morning and seemed totally fine! It never fails though.. everytime I go somewhere or stay out late, you can guarantee.. he's gonna get up! Oh well. I love him anyways! I put up a few new pictures my Dad took of him I thought were cute!

This is my Dads HUGE "Merry Christmas" sign out in his yard!

This is one of my all time faves.. Grants "Mean Face"!

HoHoHo!

I love this video! Grant is totally loving "Tanta" (Santa) this year! He walks up to him and says "Tanta... HoHoHo"! Anything that resembles Santa I get a "HoHoHo"! Its so precious! I was putting up this Santa plate and managed to capture it on video!

Meet Sketchy!

Meet Sketchy the Monkey! Sketchy was given to Grant by his girlfriend, Allie, for his birthday! From then on, they have been inseparable! Sketchy was the name he came with so we didn't bother changing it, except Grant calls him "Keky".. good enough!

Grant sleeps with "Keky" and drags him everywhere and oddly enough he usually likes Sketchy to sit up straight!

He hugs him and says "Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww".. my favorite is when he shares his "My Mik" (aka: Milk) with Sketchy!

Grant will sit Sketchy in the back of his car.. I did NOT place him for these pictures.. Grant sets him up straight and barely to the side to where he can reach him! Its precious!

I know this sounds cheesy.. but it makes me so happy that he loves his stuffed animals and his toys! He's a rough little boy but he's really sweet to Sketchy!

Baking with Buddy!

Yesterday my Mom, aka: Buddy, called and wanted Kelly and I to bring all three of her Grand-babies over for a Gingerbread Cookie Baking Party! Each boy got to wear a Gingerbread Apron and cut cookies with Buddy! It was so cute to watch them! The boys were so proud of their cookies.. but I have to say.. they sure were interesting looking! I think two of the cookies had an entire can of sprinkles on them... but Buddy didnt care about what was used or the mess that was made!!
Here are a few pics of Tol and Yates while Grant had his turn! Yates wanted no part in Brotherly love! hahah

Buddy and Grant were in the floor for some reason and Tol tried to help Buddy up but he fell over!!!

These next few pictures will definately go down in the memory book for me! I love watching my baby make cookies with his Grandmother, it makes me think of all the times Mom let me cook with her when I was little!

Next was Yates, for some reason all the pics of Yates turned out blurry :( He had a blast! He loved the heart shaped cookie cutter! Very fitting since his bday is on Valentines Day!

Next was Tol's turn.. he LOVED IT! I would tell him to "wiggle" the cookie cutter so that the dough would sep from the cutter.. well bless him, he would wiggle his little hips! hee hee!

Poor Grant felt left out so Buddy gave him a boost up to see what was going on! He knows not supposed to stand in the chair.. he didnt realize that he could to cut cookies!

And.. the finished product!!! SHEW.. look at those sprinkles!

And this was poor Buddy's house after the party! She's a good sport!

Thanksgiving Festivities!

We had 3 Thanksgiving festivities to attend this year and they were all wonderful! We started off on Wednesday by going to Papa G and DeeDee's it was a so yummy!!!

I made a pumpkin cheesecake and the kids followed me around saying "Cake".. I think I got 1 bite!

Here is Yates and Brady coming in for another bite!

All of the cousins love playing together, however Grant and Yates had their first of many little spats! It was so funny! Grant was INSISTING on giving Yates some "Love" and Yates would say "NOOOOO" and run off!

Sorry Yates.. but when my Baby wants love... he gets it! I will have a problem with this in the future when he's doing this to the ladies!

Of course we waited to late to attempt familyphotos! Grant was already in his pj's and all the boys were NOT wanting to get their pict made. Yates was thrilled as you can see, Grant wanted DeeDee and Tol was picking his nose! Priceless!

These next few pictures are HYSTERICAL to me! Grants new obsession is "glashes" aka: glasses! Well he took my Dad's reading glasses and put them on! He was cross-eyed and running in to things and giggling saying "Glashes". Ever seen the movie "Lucas"? Grant resembles him well!

BLESS HIM!

Then on Thanksgiving Day all of Franklin's family came to our house! I am so mad that I only have one picture of the entire day :( But everything was delicious and just perfect!!!! Here is Grant with his Grandma!

Then on Saturday we went to my Mom's house! Of course I wanted a picture of the three of us and Grant didnt want to be disrupted from playing dominos. My bad... what was I thinking? Again.. I failed to take family pictures but managed to get some of the boys!

Buddy had a surprise for the boys.. "DumDum Suckers".. they all loved them!
This picture makes me so sad. Everyone tells me how tall Grant is and what a "bigboy" he looks like. Well.. to me, he's still my baby.. until I saw this picture.. I finally saw how "Big" he look :(

And here we go again with Yates... poor Yater Tater :( Grant tried to take his sucker from him!

Then Yates had a cookie... and unfortunately Grant saw it... and guess what?
knocked it out of his little hands and went in for the kill! Dont worry I saved Yates' cookie and distracted Grant!

Grant saw that Great-Granny had a brownie and headed straight for her!

And last but not least.. Buddy got in some love as Grant "talked" on his cell phone!
All in all we had 3 wonderful Thanksgivings! We are so blessed to have such a big wonderful family! But I will say.. Im tired, sick of Turkey, 5 lbs fatter, but yes.. still thankful!
