Ohio!!

This past weekend we headed up to Ohio to visit Franklin's Granparents, Gigi and Pops, and to attend his cousins wedding reception!  We arrived Friday afternoon and went out for our traditional Marioms pizza, and then came back to the house!  Uncle Steve and Aunt Mary Jo stopped in to say hello and Grant was TICKLED! He loves them, and loves his Aunt to read Grover to him, she does the cool voices, unlike Mom!  The next morning we had breakfast and headed out to run a few errands and as you can see Grant got to pick out a treat, a Ninja Turtle costume!  He only came out of the mask to go to the wedding reception and occasionally to play outside!  He loved it!
Saturday night we headed out to Rob and Karly's reception...

As you can see in the back of the photo is a mound of cupcakes...
And this is what Cole did until time to serve cake.. he ran over to them and would say CAKE PLEASE!  This is the expression I got every time I told him, not yet!

 FINALLY, they cut the cake!

 Rob and his Mom, Joanne!
Cole and Uncle Steve!  As you can see, Cole was not a fan of the loud music!
After the reception we headed back to Gigi and  Pops house to play!  Franklin's cousin, Stephanie, and her husband, Sean, came by and the boys LOVED them!  We havent seen them in almost 5 years so it was a great treat to see them!

Sunday breakfast at the snack bar!
 Grandma's beautiful garden!
Sunday morning Gpa set up the sprinkler for the kids....
and Cole was not a fan, he hates water in his face.
 Grant loved it though!

Grant is so sweet, he was encouraging Cole to come play, such an awesome brother!
 More reading with Mary Jo!
After some water play we headed out to Youngs Dairy in Yellow Springs, it was so much fun.  I had issues downloading the pics from my phone but the boys had a GREAT time! We ate lunch there, went to the petting zoo and played in the bounce houses!  After that, we came back to the house and took naps to gear up for a cookout!  When the boys woke up, Pops was outside fixing ice cream and they LOVED watching him!

I love this picture!  Cole loves to "help" and watch you cook, he will run up to you with those sweet little arms, hold them up and say "See, too?" or "Cook, too?"

The boys getting ready for bed, watching the Lorax!

Some randoms from my phone..   The drippy, yummy ice cream from the dairy farm!
Sleeping in his Ninja Turtle mask!
And the little booger that never napped in the car!

We had a great visit and look forward to seeing everyone again!

Mommy/Grant Road Trip!

A couple of weekends ago, Grant and I took a little road trip to Tuscaloosa, AL to visit our sweet friends, The Givens!  This is one of our favorite things to do, we miss them so much but also enjoy getting some quality time together!  Here we are waiting on them to meet us for lunch!
We met at our usual meeting grounds of McDonalds!  We all picked up right where we left off, love having a friendship like that! It just so happened to be "National Donut Day" and they have an INCREDIBLY LARGE Krispy Kreme and we went for free donuts!  We even made the Facebook page, possibly because Emily "might" have told them that we came all the way down from TN just for a donut! hahaha  But I will say this, it was the MOST delicious donut I have ever had, it came right off the belt and freshly dipped in glaze .. and was hot to the touch... ahhh.. so good.
Im sad to say I could not get all the pictures she took to download, :( BUT you can go to her blog and see them.  Look at my reading list to the right of the blog and click on "Bama Mama" and go back a few weeks and you can see it! I love that our boys never missed a beat, there was no fussing or anything just full time play!  NOW.... Miss Priss, Abby, oh my word, she melts my heart.  She lets me play with her hair and even wanted me to paint her nails and toes... AHHHHHH  so nice to have a little  "Girl time".  Speaking of girlie things.. let me just say this. Emily and Greg just purchased a new home and it is STUNNING!  But there is one room that absolutely captivated me and it was Abby's room. OH my word.. its every girls dream!  DANG IT I wished I could get the pics to download.. no words can describe it but DREAMY!

After letting the kids play and a delicious meal, we got the kids bathed and in the bed and Emily and I headed out for girls night!  We spent 3 hours at a little bar talking and laughing.  SO MUCH FUN!
The next morning we went to breakfast and then to a splash pad, it was so much fun!

Thanks Emily for another awesome weekend! Cant wait to see you again!

I love my neighbors!

There's something to be said about having good neighbors!  Not only do I have a sweet neighbor but I consider, Jessica, a dear friend!( Happy Bday to her today!).  The best part is, when we travel we can trust each other to take care of our animals/mail/home and we trade off watching each others kiddos and  that is priceless!

Jessica and Jeremy have a beautiful little girl, Kayleigh, and the boys LOVE to play with her.  Since its been warm we have been playing at least once a week, blowing up pools, eating watermelon and wearing them out!

 A "Kayleigh Sandwich"
What is it about kids and watermelon that is so sweet?

 How cute is she?

Here are some pictures from this winter, I wasnt sure I ever posted!  Thought they were cute too!

Thanks Jessica for being such an awesome neighbor!! :)
