Me and My Buddy, Nate!

My friend, Emily, and I try to get together often to let our boys play, and lets be honest moreso to have "Girl time"! Anyways, Monday Grant and I went to their house and took Nate "Elmo in Grouchland" (super cute movie.. but very scarey Man with weird eyebrows in it!)! We put the movie in, let the boys play for a while and then we had lunch!

Nate loves Elmo.. his little face lights up and he points to the screen and says "Elmo"!! Grant was more interested in Nate's toys than Elmo!

Grant watches EVERYTHING Nate does! I'm not sure what's in Nates mouth.. but my son can spot food a mile away.. check out Grants face! hahah

Nate... smiling on demand.. but dont ask him to take his eyes away from Elmo..

... not even to eat lunch!


I love these next few pictures.. I cant get Grant to drink out of his sippy cup.. but by golly.. he did all he could to get to Nates! I LOVE Nates facial expressions... its like... DUDE.. Get your own already!

This next picture... gosh.. When Emily and I saw it we died laughing and agree'd this shouldnt be on the blog.. but the more I looked at it, the more I laughed and couldnt resist. Bless him.. Grants hair.... it doesnt look like this in person but it looks like some Wild Indian got a hold of him! I love the picture because he's "free standing" desperately trying to walk to Nate.. but the hair... oh the hair!

We always have fun at our playdates with the Givens! One of my favorite parts ... when Nate sees me and smiles and says "How-wee" for "Hallie"!!!!!! Sweet boy!

Spoiled Rotten: Part II

So.. lets do a little bit of a re-cap! We'll start off with the "Ball Popper" from Carol and Nolan I told you about! This 1st picture I told him "Grant.. go get your ball popper"...

"Grant... Push the RED BUTTON on the ball popper" (Notice where his hand is..he knows!!!)

This is his face when he hears the music.. he knows that the balls are about to fly out of that hole! He usually sticks his hand down the hole and says "BAW" for "ball"!


This is the face I LOVE! There is a fan that blows the balls out and it hits him in the face and he gasps and does that :0 face!

CHeck out his hair as its "blowing in the wind".. HAHA.. it cracks me up!

OK.. Moving right along.... Lets go to Papa G and DeeDee's...

Now I took Grant over there on Friday because Franklin has been working very long and odd hours and Im exhausted, not to mention the fact that our garage looked like it had vomitted! YES.. I admit Im a horrible PACK RAT... not the point, the point is I needed a break for an afternoon and his Papa was dying to see him!
I mean.. he gets ZERO ATTENTION there... No one plays with him.. .No one gives him special "bath time".. in fact... no one loves on him ...

Here we are back at home! Have you ever heard the term "Tusseling"? Probably not.. this is what my Dad called "Wrestling or Rough Housing" when I was a kid.. so every night we "Tussel" with Grant on the couch...

Spoiled Rotten Syndrome!

This past week Franklin's Dad and Uncles rented a Cabin on Center Hill Lake and brought down Grandma and Grandpa for a few days! This picture doesnt give it justice because of the glare but the cabin was beautiful and sat up on a huge hill! The view was breath taking and sitting on that porch could make you forget any distraction you could possibly have!

Grant has been absolutely spoiled ROTTEN this week! He's had Grandma's and Grandpa's, Great Grandparents, Great Uncles, and Cousins constantly oohing and ahhhing over him and giving him whatever he wants! SO you can imagine the fun I've had ! But thats what they're for, right? His Great Grandma thinks he can do NO WRONG.. literally! He's got her wrapped around his finger!

I can say the same for his Gpa too!

He's so cute.. how can you resist! Oh wait.. Im his Mom.. I CAN!

Another team member of the "Spoil Grant Rotten Club" would be Carol and Nolan! OH BOY.. did they bring fun stuff for him! They have a darling grandson, Jacob, so they know what spoiling is all about! When they came up to the cabin they brought Grant a Thomas the Train track and car, that he will NOT put down, and a ball popper machine that he loves! I will have to make a special post of just the ball popper because his face is priceless!

Nolan was a great sport.. he not only put together all of the toys but left the cabin just to get batteries!

Now.. lets talk about Uncle Jeff.. or should I say "Uncle Buwd" (Grants way of saying Bird).

Jeff has a tattoo on the side of his arm and it has a bird on it, Grant was fascinated by it and everytime he'd touch it, Jeff would say "BIRD" and Grant would look at him and say "BUWD", he doesnt have the "r" sound down yet! But from then on, everytime Jeff would come in the room, Grant would point and smile really big and say "BUWD"..so sorry Jeff but I think you have a new name!

He loves Jeff so much.. Jeff played hard with him.. from peek-a-boo on the couch, to crawling around on the deck with him!

BOOOOOOOO... There he is! I wished I had a video of the hard laughter that came out of Grant's little mouth!

And EWWWWWWWWW Boys will be boys but GROSS ... Look how dirty he got!!!!! If you cant see in the picture below.. look closely at his feet and knees on the next picture!

Oh how he LOVES Grandma!

And loves her Water too!!! He doesnt understand the concept of the straw yet.. but it entertained him for a good 30 minutes!

And this was by 8pm.... Not sure who was more tired... Grant or Gpa!!!!!!!!!!

Baby Steps

Grant is getting more and more active each day! Everything he does is with serious force, esp when he crawls.. you can hear him a mile away! He's been walking around the couch and coffee table holding on and he'll let go and free stand for about 10 seconds! Lately he's been enjoying this little push toy! I finally captured it on video, no one believed me! :) Kids can make a fool out of you when you try to get them to do stuff on command! Haha!

My Little Shihtzu!

Let me 1st apologize for being a bad blogger... Grant has been .. well .....more and more mobile everyday and getting in to EVERYTHING! Franklin and I have made a funny discovery, every time you put sunglasses on Grant he makes this weird face, its a half grin with an underbite! He looks like my best friends shihtzu (No offense Elizabeth!), Gracie! I managed to get a few pictures and the video doesnt give it justice, you must see it in person!
