Anniversary and Afternoon at Papa's!

Two weekends ago Franklin and I celebrated our 5th Wedding Anniversary!  The above picture was taken on our honeymoon in Puerto Vallerta, Mexico!  My how we've changed!  Who would've thought that five years later we'd have two rambunctious little boys?  I couldn't be more pleased with my sweet little family and how our lives have turned out!  We had originally planned to take a trip but somewhere between work, me having bronchitis, and Grant getting croup we ended up staying in town.  Papa and DeeDee were nice enough to watch the kiddos so Franklin and I could enjoy a much needed dinner date to Stony River!  WOW IT WAS GOOD!

While the boys were at Papa's they headed on over to the soccer fields to see their cousins play!

They enjoyed their afternoon and came on back to the house to catch a nap and some outside play!
Cole is definitely my outside baby, he stands at our back door and cries when he wants to go out!
He loves to go IN and OUT over and over!  Annoys the heck out of me but not at Papa and DeeDee's, anything goes!

 My new favorite picture!
On Sunday we headed back over to Papa's to have a cookout and Tol, Kelly and the boys came over to join us!
Yates was kind enough to greet us all with some Mardi Gras beads!

This picture cracks me up because Cole was determined to get Grant's drink but Grant would NOT let it happen.  Little Tol came up to hug Grant... and look what happened!  I LOVE IT!
Now... after we all ate my brother, Tol, decided it was time to play rough with the boys.  Although it sounds like pure and utter misery to me, the boys loved it.   Tol would stuff their underwear with ICE and pull their little pants as high as they would go and they would run off squealing, yet they would always come back for more!

 HYSTERICAL!

We love our Sunday afternoons with family.  I wished every Sunday was like it was "back in the day", where everyone gathered at one house and brought a dish after church.  Maybe I'll restart this tradition!

ISR Class with Aunt Kelly!

Look at this little stud muffin!  A couple of weeks ago we started Infant Swim Resource with Aunt Kelly.  Cole was fine when we got there, he had NO idea what he was in for, after all he loves Kelly and was happy to go see her!
That was.. until she made him do this!
Of course while Cole is having a lesson Grant stays on the other end of the pool with Yates!
At first he constantly rubbed his eyes to get the water off, but now he's doing awesome!
Here's Kelly teaching him to roll himself over to the float position!

He can now do this solo!  He's a champ....
but yes, he still screams at her!

As soon as he gets out of the water he crawls right in my lap and patiently waits for his reward from Kelly.  She gives him a sticker and he thanks her by a big burp and a smile!
Here is a small clip from our lesson yesterday, its not great because all I had was my phone.

Easter

We had a LARGE Easter celebration, so bare with me through all of these pictures! We went to Buddy's house on Saturday and then celebrated at our house on Sunday. However, I downloaded the pictures backwards so Im gonna start with Sunday!
We got ready for church and TRIED to get pictures of the boys, but having a busy 1 year old, and a 3 year old that had no interest in getting his picture made, that was hard to do!

One of my new favorite pictures!

I was so happy this family picture turned out! I love it, I set the timer on my camera and ran, usually these end up bad!
Sunday, after church (well.. what we got out of it, we were run out by some pesky kids) we had Franklin's Mom and Ron over! She brought the boys a water table and we played outside all day and had a yummy meal, it was a lot of fun!

Grant practicing his fishing skills! (PS. He's in his undies because he wanted to go through the sprinkler, despite the fact it was cold, boys will be boys, right?)
Cole had a big time playing with Ron!

Saturday morning we went to Buddy and Grandaddy's house for our annual Easter egg hunt! Cole was excited to show off his walking skills to Grandaddy!

After lunch and some play time we headed out for the hunt! YES, those are trash bags for the buckets (Emily, stop making fun! hahaha), the buckets couldn't hold all of the eggs, not to mention the kids end up dropping more than they get!

Little Tol was DETERMINED to win the golden egg this year. He was so cute, when he found the egg he sd "FINALLY, I finally found the golden egg", it was really cute!

My precious Grandparents, so happy they could come celebrate with us! Aren't they so cute?!
Cole was getting tired and decided to have some Grandaddy love!

While Cole napped the other kids decided to have dessert! We're not sure why they don't have shirts on?
Then we did our Easter baskets.. I don't have many pictures of that but clearly Grant was so excited about getting some new flip flops! I feel the same way when I get new shoes!
We had a wonderful Easter and Im so proud of my beautiful family and I thank God for them and the opportunities he's given us to be together!
