Grants 1st Sport! SOCCER!

Check out my handsome little soccer player!  Ahh that picture warms my heart, how did he get so big??
We registered him for the Murfreesboro Soccer Club just for some extra exercise and to get him used to a "team"! His best buddy, Ross, from school was also playing and his Dad was gonna be the coach! I thought this would be perfect esp since Grant can be a little timid at times!
I was so proud of my little man, he got right in there and did his best but most importantly he had FUN!

Proud to be a "Soccer Mom"!
Poor Cole... bless him, he wants to play SO BAD!  He tries to go out to the team huddles and runs right beside them with his ball!  He's just as hot and sweaty as the rest of the team when its over!

OH! Did I mention the best part?  Franklin is helping Coach the team and Grant is SO excited about this! There is nothing sweeter than seeing my sweet boy and my husband on the field!

Franklin is awesome at making Grant hustle and encouraging him to try his best!
 Little Brother sweating it out!

This Saturday was SUPER hot and thankfully there was a snowcone truck at the field! Buddy to the rescue!

Papa and DeeDee made a game too!
 Ross' sister, sweet Sarah!
My little escape artist ran on the field during game time yelling "Daddy... Play too, play too"

We are beyond thrilled that Grant is having a great time and enjoying his games! SO PROUD!

BACK TO SCHOOL!!!!

I have so much to blog about!  We've embarked on a new season around here! We are back to school and Grant has started playing soccer, its so exciting!  But for now we'll talk about going back to school! Grant is in "Kinder-school" this year, its basically kindergarten two days a week for kids who barely made the cut off to go.  Im happy with this, it means one more year with my boy but will admit I got misty eyed walking him in this morning.  Here are some pictures of sweet kiddos before school!

Grant wanted to take a pic and I thought he did good! (other than my double chin.. ugh!)
Grant and his best bud, Ross!
Two fantastic "Wise Owl" teachers, Miss LeAnn and Miss Jalah!
Despite him crying, I PROMISE Cole loved his teachers, Miss Kim and Miss JoAnn!  They sd he did great and it was nothing a pack of Smarties couldnt take care of! Ha... thats my boy.. bribe him with food!

I was SOOO excited to be back, it was great not being "the new girl".. or feeling that way anyways!
I have 4 babies in my class this year, 3 boys and 1 little girl! Thats a far cry from the 7 I had last year.. should be a GREAT year for all!

A special visit!

Yesterday the boys and I picked up Buddy (My Mom) and headed to Pulaski to visit my Grandparents "Granny and Grandpaw".  We took lunch and the boys settled right in! The kids ate lunch in the car because my Gpa is KNOWN to always have about 5 choices of ice cream in the freezer at all times.  As soon as we got there Grant was ready to indulge!

 And so he did!
Cole surprisingly didnt want any but also knew Granny and Gpa always have candy and treats, so he ran to Gpa and asked him for a "Bean please", aka: Jelly bean!

 Thank you Grandpaw!
Ever since I can remember my Granny has sung "I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck" to me and has continued that on to my kids. If I ever start singing that Grant screams "NO MOM.. thats Granny's song".  So for the first time she pulled out ALL the lyrics and sang him a little ditty!  She did not disappoint!
My brother and I used to bang on these very keys... the kids loved it! My head, however, did not!

They have the BEST yard!  Creatures everywhere... this was looking out the back window.. sweet baby deer.. and his Mama was to the right!

Grant ran up the hill and his britches fell off :) Silly boy....  he gets that booty from his Mama.. .we cant hold pants up to save our lives!
We had such a wonderful visit and treasure each moment we have with them!! WE LOVE YOU Granny and Grandpa!
