Pumpkin Patch Time!

Last weekend we visited two Pumpkin Patches and Grant LOVED THEM! The first one we went to was in Gallatin at Shuckles and Papa G and DeeDee treated all of us!!! Kelly and the boys also joined us and the boys were so happy to be together!

This picture baffles me because this was a big sand play area for the kids... do you see what I see? Is that MY SON in the sand???????? Remember the beach? Crumbies? He HATED the sand! Well, now he loves it, so maybe our next trip will be more fun, or maybe I just need to take him to the beach in tennis shoes! hahah!

After crawling through some tunnels, climbing on hay and sliding on slides, Grant shot some hoops with Papa G!

Next came pony rides! Grant was super excited and happy when his Daddy was next to him while getting on the pony!

Then this lady came over, and his tune changed, after one little circle he wanted off!

Before we left, we took a hay ride around the farm, all the boys were exhausted but we had a fun time! Thanks Papa and DeeDee!

Then on Sunday we headed over to Smyrna to Walden Farms! We went there last year and had a blast! Grant's sinus' were really bothering him but he still had a good time! He was "whimpy" most of the day and had a meltdown when it was time to go.

He absolutely LOVED all of the farm animals that were there!

He cracked up laughing at these goats, esp when they licked his hands! (Granny dont worry, there was hand sanitizer!).

Last year he loved this tractor, and this year was no different, he did NOT want to get off it!

We took a rest for some cider and a cookie!

All in all it was a good day and he had fun! My only complaint was the weather, who wants to go to a pumpkin patch in dry 78 degree weather???? Bring on the fall weather!

Blue Eyes!

Lately Grant is very interested in what color our eyes are! He says "Mommy green eyes, Daddy blue eyes, Grant blue eyes". So a week or so ago I asked him to "show me his blue eyes and smile" and here are the results of the pictures! I thought they were so cute!

By the way, no girl would ever be so lucky to get eyes that bright and eyelashes that long, I guess thats why we have Maybeline!

He's 2???????

It's funny to me that when we're out in public and people say "Your little boy is so cute, how old is he" and I reply with "Thank you, He's 2", I often get the reply of "He looks so much older than 2". Since he's my child and he's all I've known I can see that he's two... well until he plays with his friends that are 3! But anyways..it dawned on me on Sunday when I took these pictures of him, that he looked like a 4 year old boy! I was so sad but so proud of my handsome fella!

I love that he's tall and handome!!! But Grant, you're always gonna be my baby :)

Amy's Visit!

My sister, Amy, came in for her yearly visit and it was so good to see her! She lives in Austin, TX so are visits are unfortunately limited! I wait all year to see her and then I'm so sad when she leaves! She got to stay for an entire week this year and here is a ton of pics from her visit!

She got in to town last Wed. and so we headed down to Pulaski, TN so she could visit her Grandmother and I could see my Grandparents! Grant and I hung out at Granny and Gpa's all day!

Grandpa got the lawn mower and the wagon out to ride Grant around on, for a while he was ok with it until the wagon came off when Gpa hit a bump! Granny and I die laughing as Grant screams and Gpa keeps riding around, not realizing Grant's wagon has come unhooked! Unfortunately I didnt get pics of Grant in the wagon when it came off as he was a little upset!

Poor Amy played Potato Head for over an hour!

On Saturday we had our anual familyl gathering at our house! We had a Mexican Fiesta! It was fun! We cooked lots of good food and the weather could not have been perfect! The boys were super excited to see each other too!

I found this picture funny! All the Men were sitting at the "kiddy table"!

On Monday Mom, Amy, and I met Kelly and the boys at Granny White Park in Brentwood to let them play and let Amy visit with them some more. The boys had an absolute blast!

Tol is such a good big cousin/brother! I looked over to see him helping Grant get up on places he couldn't reach.

This picture cracks me up! As you can see Yates and Grant are having "words"! They fought for a few minutes and it ending in Yates spitting on Grant and Grant licking Yates from chin to eyeball! hahahah! We just let them work it out!

Sweet Yaters!

Grandaddy came for a surprise visit and the boys were SO EXCITED! Esp Grant, he was asking for Grandaddy all day!

Daredevil Yates!

Yates and Tol LOVED the swings and wanted to go as high as possible, Grant on the other hand HATES the swings and would only let his Buddy hold him!

Unfortunately, Tuesday was Amy's last day, so Grant, Franklin, and I headed down to Brentwood to visit one last time and have dinner with her. Grant had a big time playing with Amy and Grandaddy on the porch!

It was such a great trip and we were so sad to see her leave. Grant is missing her like crazy, he goes in the guest room and says "Amy go? Amy, see me"?
