Peas & Carrots

Oh.. The adventures of baby food! This week Grant has started two new baby foods!!! Sweet peas, which when I was little were better known for as "Goober Peas".. shew, and Carrots! The first night on the "Goobers" he wasnt real thrilled and he gagged but still ate them! The second night he did great with them! Last night we started carrots... like his Momma he really liked them! Its funny because when I first give him something new he gives a very serious face, almost shocked! Here are pictures from our adventure!

59 years and counting!!!!!!!

Happy Anniversary Granny and Grandpa!!!! 59 years and they're still going strong!!!! This is one of my all time favorite pictures of them, those two can "cut a rug"! I've learned so many wonderful things from them and treasure them so much! I hope they have a wonderful day and many more years of love to share with each other!!! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Tummy Time!!!!

This past weekend the three of us, Tol, Kelly, and their two boys, and my Dad and Deloris all went to Gatlinburg! It was an adventure to say the least! My Dad has the majority of the pictures and I cant wait to put a posting up about it, but it will probably be next week! In the meantime I thought I would post this little video! Im trying to teach Grant to rollover and everytime he gets on his tummy he makes the funniest noises! I thought I would share!!!!

I'm gonna "Get Him"

First of all let me just go on and say how rediculous I sound in this video! However... there is a reason! Grant was being fussy (thanks to his 16 minute nap!) and being frustrated I sd UGH.... in a deep voice. Well... he smiled big when I did that. So in the same voice I sd "Im gonna GET HIM" and he started laughing! All I had was my cellphone so again the video isnt good.. but I just love his little giggle!!!!

We decided to start Grant on sweet potatoes and they were a hit! He didnt really know what to think at first but then he got excited! He made a MESS! Here are some pictures and a video from our experiment!

Babbling Baby!

Grant has discovered he has a voice and babbles all the time! I took this with my cellphone so its dark! This was supposed to be "Nap-Time"!!! I love this sweet little voice!

Addie Farris comes to play!!!!

Some good friends of ours, Chris and Kelly Farris, came over on Saturday and brought their beautiful little girl, Addie! She is so sweet and cute! Grant was asleep when they arrived and his facial expressions show! Addie was so sweet to Grant and really seemed to love him! She wanted to feed him and love on him, it was really sweet! Sunday we watched the football game and Grant rooted for the Cardinals! My he looks like a big boy!!!!!!!!

A Day With My Girls!

Yesterday Grant and I went to Columbia to see my best friend, Elizabeth, and her daughter, Allie! Elizabeth and I have been friends since Jr. High and it seems like we've done everything together! We even got married and had babies within months of each other! Elizabeth had Allie in July and its been great having her support through my pregnancy and being able to ask her 10,000 questions of "Is this normal"?!!! Allie is 8 weeks older than Grant and she is a busy bee! She's so precious and I love getting together with them!! Grant loves them both too! Here are a lot of pictures we took from yesterday!

We started Grant on cereal and he really likes it! He seemed unsure at first and had a look of surprise!

He still has trouble eating off of a spoon because of his tongue reflexes, more gets on him than what he actually swallows! Oh well, you gotta learn somehow!

Yipee for Mary Leigh!!!

Its great to have one of your best friends live less than a mile from you! My friend, Mary Leigh, and I have been close since college. About two years after we graduated we reconnected and ended up moving less than a mile away from each other! It seems like every time we get together there's uncontrollable laughter! ANYWAYS... I desperately needed to run some errands today and lets face it, running errands with a 19 lb chunk in this wind is anything but fun! So I called her and took him to her house!!! Last time he went to her house he was terrible, but I think we've made progress, he even napped for her!!!!! I cant wait for her to have kids so I can repay her for all the favors, not to mention she'll be a great Mom!!!

A Trip To Pulaski!

Yesterday we ventured to Pulaski and took Grant to see his Great Grandparents! He had a big time and it was great to surprise them!

One Year Ago Today....

Was the BEST surprise of my life! At 5am this time last year I found out I was pregnant!

I cant believe its already been a year, my how time flies!

Oh so sleepy!

Grant loves the new Jumparoo he got for Christmas.. this morning he jumped for a good 30 mins in it. I was sitting in front of him but watching the news when I noticed I didnt hear him bouncing anymore. I turned to check on him and this is what I saw!

Poor Baby he jumped himself right to sleep!!!!!!!!! :)

Someday I'll learn to listen to Mom!

WOW... Yet again I sit here and think "Why didn't I listen to my Mother"!

When you're little people always tell you "Mom's always right".. well its true!

Grant has been fussy for a long time now and I chalked it all up to teething. The more I thought about it and the more I listened to her I realized that his little belly might be hurting him. She told me a month ago to try him on soy but I thought.. NO he's fine he's just teething. Out of desperation on Monday I decided SOMEONE HELP ME! He cried all weekend and would NOT sleep. So .. off to Buddy's we go and she bought him a can of Soy Formula, all I can say is HALLELUJAH THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!!!!!!! He has slept 10 1/2 - 11 hours the past two nights in a row! Now if we can just get this napping thing down we'll be on track! Even his mood has been better!!!!!!!! THANKS MOM!

Happy 4 Month Old Birthday Grant!

Grant is 4 months old today! Gosh how time flies! One heck of a birthday... he got his shots today! This was right before she stuck him... sweet little baby had no clue what was coming.

He did great but it was pitiful! He weighs 19.8 lbs and is 26 1/4 inches long! Dr. Castleberry sd he's not at all overweight he's just a big baby! My back agrees... it hurts!

Fun with Grandaddy!

Grant does love all of his Grandparents very much but I must admit Grandaddy (Toby) has a special way with babies! There is something very soothing and calming about him! Grant has been teething and been super fussy and well... a grouch! We went over to Buddy and Grandaddy's house and this is how he was the entire time, he stared and grinned at his Grandaddy the entire night! Little Stinker!

Hey Grandaddy....Where were you today when he fussed all day?
