4 Months

Time is going by quickly, our sweet Cole just turned 4 months old! He's an absolute joy in our life! He wakes up smiling and cooing unless he's hungry or tired. I've noticed alot of new milestones within the past few weeks!

He loves his playmat, he is starting to grab the toys that hang from the top. He loves grabbing rattles and his passie. He also likes to chew on his feet too!
The other day he was on his mat and I noticed it got quiet and I found this...

Sweet baby played himself to sleep! Most of the time he is doing this...

He also is enjoying his Bumbo seat! He loves to be able to see whats going on at all times, esp if big brother is around.

He loves his exersaucer, which I failed to post a picture of and he's also enjoying his jumparoo!

Cole loves to watch his big brother... I've realized now that having two kids is to your advantage, they can entertain each other!

Cole is a great sport, I often come in the room finding Cole covered in toys.. this particular day Grant was sharing his Spiderman sticker!

We have also started cereal..he's not real sure of it but he is doing great at eating it. Its weird to me that he's already in a high chair :(

I kept having to cancel his 3 month pictures so I decided to take some myself, this was his last week of being 3 months old!

No.. he does not have red hair.. it just looks like it in this picture! As a matter of fact, most of his hair is falling out.

We love our sweet boy, happy 4 months!!!

Farewell

I am so sad to say that one of my best friends, Emily, and her family will be moving to Alabama. Not only is she my super close friend but her son, Nate, is Grant's best friend. So this is double sad to me! I could not be happier for their family and this new adventure that they are taking on, I just wished we could still be a part of it but I am so happy to have met them! I met Emily before I was even pregnant with Grant. We never hung out or anything, but when she found out I had just recently had a baby and lived basically across the street, she reached out to me. She asked me to come to strollersize with her and Lord knows I needed out of the house. I sincerely believe she got me out of a funk that I couldn't pull myself out of. She forced me to get out of my house and make friends... and that I did, I made a life long one! Grant was about 3 months old and Nate roughly 15 months. I don't know why but I don't have any pictures of them early on. Here are some pictures of the last three years throughout our friendship. Its so funny to watch these boys grow! And sorry Abby, sweet girl.. I dont know where all of your pictures are but you are equally loved!

Em was sweet enough to come to our house at 4am to stay with Grant the morning I had Cole. She also got to witness one of the sweetest moments in my life, Grant meeting his brother for the first time!

BFF's!

This was our last playdate! The boys really didn't have a clue but to us girls, it was sad and emotional!

Thanks Emily for being such a wonderful, loyal friend. You have brought many laughs and smiles to my life and I know there are many more to come! Murfreesboro won't be the same without you, and neither will our Girls Nights! Best wishes in AL, we love you!

Party Time!

This weekend we had two very special birthday parties to attend! First on the agenda was Nate's 4th Birthday! I can't believe it.. it seems like I was just attending his 2nd birthday party.

Grant was a little timid at first, he wouldn't talk to anyone and didn't want to play which is very unlike him. Esp since we were with all of his friends from his regular play groups, then it hit me, the last time we were at a "Bounce House" he got hurt. After about ten minutes of holding on to my leg I felt him let go and off he went to find Nate and Noah!

The kids jumped for about an hour and then off to the party room where there was pizza, cake, presents, and a big chair for the birthday boy! Nate was sweet and shared the chair with his friends!

Cole was such a sweet boy at the party. Despite being his nap time and being tired he was still all smiles! Em's Mom, Beth, got to give him lots of love. There's nothing like love from a Grandmother! I swear babies know other Moms/Grandmas!

I absolutely LOVE this next picture! I think its so precious of both Emily and Nate! Beautiful!

All the kids were super excited about cupcakes! .....

.... Abby loved hers too.. it was so funny watching her eat this. Girlfriend inhaled it and had no problems having frosting all over her!

Grant asked for a "Panilla Pupcake with Staws" Translation: Vanilla Cupcake with Stars!

I don't think I have ever heard Grant or Noah be this quiet. Im not sure they even took a breath of air in between bites!

We had a fantastic time at Jumper's Playhouse for Nate's party but it was over at 12.

So.. we got in the car and headed to Brentwood to drop off Cole with Grandaddy so he could at least get one good nap in. After a fast change of clothes, Grant and I headed to Columbia to Allie's 3rd Birthday Party at The Royal Brush to paint pottery!

Beautiful birthday girl!

This too, hurts my feelings a little.. I remember the day she was born, and it does NOT feel like she should be 3. I guess thats because I know Grant is next!

Grant was one of the only boys there, but he didnt seem to mind, esp once he realized there was "panilla" icecream to be had!

I have to admit I was extremely skeptical about taking a 2 year old to paint pottery. I thought it would be a disaster but he actually LOVED it and did a great job.

Elizabeth told the kids "You have 3 things to choose from, a monkey, fish, or catepillar". Grant yelled as loud as he could "I'll take a dolphin". WHAT? That wasn't even an option! He ended up picking the Catepillar and as he was painting it all he could say was "My Daddy will be so proud of me, he's gonna love this". So sweet.

We had a great time at the parties! Grant and I were super tired from our day but it was well worth it! Happy Birthday Nate and Allie!!!!!!!!
