Our Little Turkey

Today was a super special day, it was Harvest Day at school!  To my knowledge, I just thought they were providing lunch for the kids and the parents, but to my surprise we got to see a little program!  There are two 4 year old classes, one class were pilgrams and the other class.. Indians!
Grant's teachers are AMAZING and we love them, They had the tables set up so cute and festive!
 My super cute Indian!
Daddy made a special appearance and we were all happy to see him, ESP Grant!

They sang three or four songs and the sound of those sweet voices is so innocent, it literally brought tears to my eyes. I don't know why stuff like this makes me cry!

I love that he waved to us in the middle of singing!

Here they are singing the Blessing, .... look at those sweet folded hands, love it!
We couldn't be more proud of our Grant, he did such a FANTASTIC job!

 Wild Indains!
I forgot to mention the delicious feast!  Chicken, corn, potatoes, mac n cheese, green beans, rolls, sweet tea and dessert! YUMMY! Thanks to all the teachers and all of their hard work!

Transportation Day

Last week was "Transportation Day" at school!  All kinds of vehicles came:firetrucks, army trucks, street cleaners, tractors etc!  I happened to be outside with my class when Cole's class was out and got a few pictures of him but felt disappointed that I didn't get to see Grant, that was until his teacher emailed me some!

This is Grant's class girlfriend, Cameron!  I get lots of pictures of these two holding hands and cuddling...  sigh.....  and it already begins!
Cole's teachers said Cole LOVED the train ride and squealed with excitement when he saw the tractor!

Cole and Miss Kim, he LOOOOOOVES her!
I feel so blessed to be a part of this school and to be able to work in the same building as my children!  We love Calvary!

A day at Papa and DeeDee's

This past weekend Franklin went on a hunting trip so they boys and I decided to go take a day trip to Lebanon and see Papa and DeeDee.  I had gotten Grant a Mario Brothers costume for good behavior and he would NOT take it off for two days!  He wanted to wear to Papa's and then obviously Cole had to be like big brother and wanted to wear his too!

When we got there Papa and DeeDee had some goodies for the kids, some cool Transformer glasses that light up and a pig for Cole!

After we visited for a while we ran a quick errand and had lunch and Papa had a surprise of taking Grant to play putt putt golf since it was such a beautiful day!  He, of course, played in his costume even though he was sweating profusely!
Naturally, Cole wanted to be a part of it, cant say that I blame him!

I would help him swing and he would laugh so hard and then run after his ball, he did great!
 The two golfing pros!

There might have been a little cheating going on too!
After some golf we came home so Cole could get a nap, Grant wanted to stay up so we went outside to play!

You dont understand......  this is a RARE occasion, this cat HATES ME!
Once Cole got up we headed down to Cherokee to feed the ducks, these ducks are NOT afraid of you! There was one huge one (you can see in front of me) would get RIGHT ON ME! It made me a tad nervous, but it was fun!

See, look how close it is to me?!
The boys loved it! Cole would take a bite of the  bread then throw it!  Grant is just like me, so tender hearted, he would pick the one little duck that would never get a bite of bread and say "Please little duck, get your bite"! love that boy!
This kid has NO FEAR (well unless you take him from his Mama, hahahah)
I wanted to pet this duck so bad but it would peck at me when I would reach for it, I won though!
Before heading home I threw this fella in the bath and got him in his pjs, hoping he'd crash on the way home.
Seriously, look at that butt, so sweet!

Thanks Papa and DeeDee for having us over, it was fun!

Trick or Treating

Wednesday afternoon our friends, The Mooney's, came over for some chili and trick or treating!  They have a 2 1/2 year old son, Cale, that loves to play with out boys! We have hang out with them all the time so it was super fun having them over for Halloween!
This was Cole's first experience trick-or-treating and I was concerned how he might do, due to a stinky ear infection.
Here's our awesome Bumblebee Transformer, Grant!
 Cale the Monster!

Me and my boys (the first of many meltdowns by Cole)
.... and the sugar rush begins....
I think this is so sweet, once Cole figured out that you got candy when you went to the door he was ALL ABOUT IT...

in fact, he loved it so much he would want to sit on that persons porch and go through their candy bowl and when it was time to leave, he'd SCREAM... I mean, sit in the road and SCREAM.  It was funny the first 3 houses and then it became a pain!  Cale and Grant were TROOPERS.. they never skipped a beat.

I blame Cole's grumpiness on this beautiful full moon!  I think the full moon is absolutely stunning BUT I hate what it does to my kids.  Without fail, every full moon they get up at the crack of dawn and have pesky little attitudes, OH WELL.. it was fitting for Halloween!
Notice the two suckers in Cole's hand?  Yes I gave him two, you would have too if you had been with him! ha!
I hope everyone enjoyed their Halloween and trick or treating as much as we did!
