Our Family Christmas

HO HO HO, Santa came to our house! Franklin and I couldn't WAIT to get up and go get Grant Christmas morning! We got home Christmas Eve around 930 and Grant was exhausted but we managed to get his Christmas PJ's on and leave cookies for Santa!

Of course Santa ate one cookie in full but left one cookie with a bite out of it to prove he was really here! (nevermind the odd shape, it WAS a stocking!)
When we brought Grant downstairs we were so excited to see his reaction to the train table, instead he went straight to the cookies and sd "NO SANTA... those are my cookies" and did not pay attention to anything else until he ate the rest of the remaining cookie!

Once the cookie had been eaten Grant was super excited about his toys!
He took everything to Franklin and would say "Here Dad, open dis"
In Grant's hands were one of his favorite toys "Tiny and Buddy" dinosaurs!
His new fancy "spin" Thomas Toothbrush
Oh.. and how can I forget the MASSIVE tent train from Gpa, still not sure how I feel about this giant space taker.. however, Grant loves it but we only get it out on special occasions. I still can NOT figure out how this folded in to one of those reusable shopping bags? Baffles me!

Anyways, we had a great family Christmas and we wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Christmas with the Grandparents

Every year we go to each Grandparents house to celebrate Christmas and we started off at Buddy and Grandaddy's house on the 18th! It was lots of fun! Mom and I made lasagna and there was tons of other delicious foods to eat as well!
All of the boys were very good esp considering they didn't really get a nap!
Yaters was being a little shy at first though, this picture is funny to me.
Wesley was a little ham, he was so cute and is super cuddly.. such a sweet boy!
Buddy and Grandaddy opening their calendar that we do for them each year of all the grandkids! Thanks Kelly for designing it.
Grant loved his new hat and gloves he got from Buddy and Grandaddy.. except he wouldn't let me take the tags/gloves off the top.
Yates and Tol handed out gifts but when Grant was asked to help he replied with "No, I sit with my Grandaddy".

Our next Grandparent adventure was Christmas Eve, we headed to Grandma's house. She had all kinds of delicious appetizers prepared. It was fun and I thoroughly enjoyed the Rotel and Taco Dip! Thanks for making those for me Grandma!

At most of the gatherings Sam and Ron like to play the guitar and Grant loves to watch his Uncle Sam. This year he got a chair and put it beside Sam and watched him very closely and would start clapping and dancing, so sweet.

After eating some and opening presents at Grandma's we headed over to Grandpa Frank's and I have to say I'm so disappointed in not taking more pictures. His house was decorated with tons of lights and Christmas deco inside and out, he had tons of shrimp, Nachos, and goodies to eat, it was wonderful. Grant has more toys than we know what to do with now!
We are thankful for Grandpa and the great time we had, I'm sorry for not having more pics Gpa.
Last but not least was Christmas Day! We started off at our house (another post of its own to come) and then after nap we headed to Papa and DeeDee's house. It was alot of fun as well. We decided to do a "Tour of Italy" theme for our Christmas Dinner, there was about every Italian dish you could imagine to eat. It was DIVINE!
The boys love to pile up on DeeDee and Papa's bed to watch movies...
I guess Yates didn't care for "UP", he watched "Blues Clues" in the other room!
Grant was an "Uncle Tol's Boy" this year.. he loved on him alot, I think because he had a "booboo" from having surgery.
I love Grant's expressions as he opened presents.. sometimes excited, sometimes confused.

He aboslutely LOVED the keyboard that Tol got and he kept saying "Dis is my pwesent, ok".

Kelly and I got all 3 boys a wingpack from each other and we though they would be crazy about them, they barely wanted to try them on. There went my idea for a "wing pack party".
Again, cuddling with Uncle Tol, I think they were "fishing" here.
We were having such a good time we became a little oblivious to the weather, so Grant spent the night with Papa and DeeDee. I can't ever figure out why he sleeps till 8 or 8:30 at their house and not hardly past 7 at home.. but look how cozy he looks, I think I could sleep in too!

That is it for Christmas with the Grandparents.. more to come on Christmas Day!

Double Digits!

WOW... Today I realized I am less than 100 days away from being a Mother of TWO. Assuming I'm still being induced on March 31st (which will probably change) I have 99 days to go! That is CRAZY to me. I am happy and sad all at the same time, I keep thinking about Grant and all the changes to come for him but then again those changes are also good.

I have to admit I haven't talked/blogged about this pregnancy as much unless someone asks me, mainly because I feel so focused on Grant. Second child syndrome already I suppose! However, I will now.. I have felt a thousand times better than I did when I was pregnant with Grant! I have tried to work out at least 1-3 times a week consisting of walking 30-45 minutes on a treadmill at an incline and about 20-30 minutes of light weights. Oddly enough, the days that I do this, I feel my best. Other days my back tends to hurt more at the end of the day. I tend to crash by 8pm but not only from pregnancy but chasing a 2 yr old!
I have craved fruit like a mad-woman! It tastes more delicious to me than ever before, espicially fresh pineapple but unfortunately it tears up my mouth. My neighbor, Jessica, told me that was the only thing she wanted when pregnant with Kayleigh, now I see why, it seriously has been the most divine thing I have put in my mouth throughout this pregnancy! Its the small things, right? Ok pineapple and maybe Chex Mix!
Now that I'm officially in the 3rd trimester I am noticing that sleeping is becoming a little bit of an issue, unless Im laying on my left side I feel like someone is pressing down on my lungs and I feel sufficated, not to mention the ten million trips to the potty each night! The baby is very active and I love it! Thankfully thus far he/she doesnt kick much during the night.. maybe this means I will have a good sleeper?????? Fingers crossed! :) That would be some serious answered prayers!

Next week we will begin "Potty Training Bootcamp" with Grant which will mean we dont leave the house at LEAST for 4 days, thank goodness Christmas is this week and we'll have new toys to play with! I am happy and sad about that as well. Diapers are so convenient yet so expensive, but it also truly signifies "BIG BOY". I am anxious about this because I don't really know what I'm doing and I know it will be very frustrating for the both of us. Oh well, patience is key! If anyone would like to do something for me for Christmas, I will take prayers for next week and a smooth transition!

Well, that is it for now! Christmas posts soon to come! :) MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Little Lambs Christmas Party!

Thursday was Grant's Christmas Party at school, I was a tad reluctant on going due to the meltdown he had when we came to the Halloween Party but he did pretty good this time! I was disappointed because they had a singing program for us and they didnt tell the parents, therefore I didn't have my video camera, thank goodness for cellphone videos! When I got there Grant was excited to see me but was scared I was going to leave. He started in the back row (because he's so tall) but slowly inched his way to the front!

The first song was Jingle Bells, then came Twinkle Twinkle.. one of his all time faves! In the video (at the end of this post) you can see a red sweater swaying back and forth but cant make out the faces.. it was a no brainer which one was him, since we know how he jams!

Lastly, they sang Jingle Bells.. so cute! He shook the bells and would shout "HEY" really loud!

After singing they went back to his class for a "gift exchange" and lunch. Grant was so worried I was leaving that he started crying.. but all it took was "If you'll go sit down, you get a present"... he sat right down!

I think this picture of him is so sweet, he looks so precious to me right here! I dont remember why he was standing, whatever.. its a cute pic!

Here is the book exchange!
Opening his gift!

Throwing his paper away..
and ... a Mickey Mouse book, he loved it!
Next came lunch! He went right to his chair and while he was content, I snuck out!
Of course I watched from around the corner! He never even realized that I had gone... give him some chicken, fruit, and cookies... and Mama is TOAST! :)
Here is the video!
