Last week was our yearly trip to Gatlinburg and it was FUN! It was a quick trip, but fun! We got there mid afternoon on Friday and got our stuff in the condo. As soon as my brother got there with his crew we loaded up and went to eat some Mexican and man was it good!
The boys were starving but they were being super patient and enjoyed a huge bowl of cheese dip!
I, on the other hand, landed myself a beer-rita.. thats right folks, a beer margarita and HOLY SMOKES was it good, and well deserved I might add! A Mama always deserves a little drink after traveling with 3 boys!
The restaurant had a mechanical.. well donkey? not sure what it was but each kid rode! Grant wasnt real sure about it but got on and did great!
I love how he's holding on for dear life.
All of Gatlinburg already had their lights up, including our condo so we grabbed a few shots before going in and heading to bed!
Well I thought we were going to bed but in Tol-fashion he had to get the boys all fired up!
The next morning we got up early and had a yummy breakfast at our favorite Flapjacks! We headed deep into the mountains and found this place (sorry I forgot the name) but you could zipline (which i want to do next year), hike and go over a huge swinging bridge!
There was a man in the office that made all the kids balloon hats, I thought they looked a tad perverted!
After our serious hike, we headed to a park to grill hotdogs! Dad and Franklin stashed "Gold coins" and the boys thought they had found some serious Pirate loot!
Poor Cole, he wants to be big so bad :( He hung in there like a CHAMP!
Even tried playing hide and seek..
The condo has an indoor pool and after dinner that night all the boys went swimming, Cole observed and splashed his feet in the water!
Playing Connect 4 with Uncle T!
Sunday we all packed up and headed to let the kids ride go-carts and hit up the Applebarn... again Cole was left out but thanks to Aunt Kelly he got to ride his own ride!
Kelly braved the storm of riding doubles so each big boy could ride the big track. Dont get me wrong, I love a go-cart but NOT if Tol Swindell is on it, you can forget it...
... and this is why.. look he's trying to nail Franklin and his own kid!
Cole cried "Ride, ride" the entire time and would wave as each person zoomed by, it was pitiful.
After go-carts we headed to an indoor zoo.. it was super fun and we saw some pretty animals.
In case you cant tell by my red face and raised eyebrows, I was NOT thrilled about holding this lizard, Mo. The lady forced her on me telling me how "sweet" she was. I wanted to say "Mam, its a lizard.. how sweet can she be?".. but without fail and not wanting to be a wimp in front of my kids I held her! I have to say.. she was..... nice!
After that we headed to the Apple Barn... enough said!
Family Gatlinburg picture...
... and we're ready to go!
Thanks Papa and DeeDee for a wonderful trip, super fun!
