Summer's Baby Shower!

One of my good friends, Summer, is pregnant with her second baby girl (Emmaline Grace)! Summer and I met at the bank I used to work at (that I really miss!) and they gave her a baby shower Monday night! Her other daughter, Natalie, LOVES Grant! When I was pregnant she used to say "Can we get him out and play".. hahah.. anyways she was very excited to see him and is gonna make a WONDERFUL big sister! Summer... best wishes with Emmaline and to all the girls at the Bank.. it was great seeing you and I miss you bunches, thanks for letting me join in on the fun! :)

This morning Grant got up at 4:50 and stayed up... needless to say Im "goofy" tired. I was starving when I got up so after feeding Grant, I put him in his walker in the kitchen and thought I'd grab a bite. I peeled my banana and heard him laughing and thought.. is he laughing at me? I shook my banana at him and sd "Ba-na-na" This was his reaction!

Ta Da....

We've had a fun-filled week! Grant got to see his Great-Grandparents yesterday and show them his new trick! He was WILD yesterday and for some reason when you strip him down he gets louder and crazier! Here are two videos of him "talking" and one of him rolling over! Oh.. and excuse me.. I have a case of the hiccups in the videos!

This weekend was a big weekend for us! Saturday was our nephew, Yates, 1st bday party and Sunday was Franklin's birthday!
Here was Grant at his first attendance at a bday party!!! He was a tad bit overwhelmed!

Happy 19th Anniversary Dad and Deloris!!!!
I can't believe 19 years have gone by so fast! I vividly remember the day they got married!!! My dress matched Deloris' and Im not sure who's hair was teased the most!!! I am one of the few people who can say I have two of the BEST Step-parents in the world! Deloris (as well as my Dad) has always been there for me and my brother and our children! We're so lucky to have you both in our lives! Thank you for EVERYTHING you do! We love you so much and wish you a Very Happy Anniversary! :)

A New Chair and some Prunes!

For one of our baby showers my Dad and Deloris (aka:Papa G and DeeDee) bought Grant a high chair! He tries to buck out of his Bumbo Seat so we decided to get out the highchair and see how he did! He still can't sit up on his own yet so we have to strap him in really good! His expressions were funny and he didn't really know what to think.. he still tried to buck out of it and got mad when he realized he couldn't! We also gave him some prunes... I will let you judge by the pictures below if he liked them or not!

This is a really bad picture and doesnt at all give them justice but I tried taking a picture of his two teeth but he gets so mad. You can KIND OF see them! The one to the left hadnt really popped through good when I took this but they're both in plain view now!

And while I'm on a "blogging role" lets go ahead and wish a Happy Early Birthday to our Valentine Baby... my Nephew, Yates! I can NOT believe he'll be 1 tomorrow! We're going to his bday party tomorrow and I'll be sure to post some pictures from the big Party!!!! We sure love you Yater Tater!

WOW.... What a week!

This week has been super exciting so far! Well.. let me back up a little. Saturday we went to my Mom's house to celebrate the Feb birthdays (Franklin, Kristy, Grandpa, and Yates!) and that was a lot of fun! Then on Sunday Grant's Gpa came up and he cut his first tooth! Monday morning Grant rolled over for the first time and I was so excited!!! It was such a beautiful day so Grant and I went to my friend Emily's house for a walk (Grant loves her little boy, Nate!) and she was so sweet to let us borrow some of Nate's pj's (see photo below!)! Then on Tuesday Franklin's Mom came up to see Grant and stayed for dinner! Grant cuddled with her all afternoon and she gave him a bath and put him to bed for me! That was a nice treat for me and her! :) And then there's today.... Grant got up at 4:50 which is weird because he usually gets up around 6:30, anyways I fed him and we played on the floor.. he rolled over both ways for me (can you tell Im super proud of him??)!! Then before the storms hit we went over to Casey's house to play with Mary Leigh (she was babysitting Will for Casey), Will, Emily, and Nate.. it was fun and those boys are so sweet and cute! THEN I get home and Grant is fussing up a storm and I look..... and low and behold.. there is another tooth!!!!!!!! I couldnt believe it! This has been a big week for the little fella!

Anyways.. thats our week thus far! Tomorrow we're going to have lunch with a friend and then to see my Mom! Friday we may head over to Mary Leighs (Im dying to try out that Wii Fit and do some couponing!), Saturday we're going to Yates' 1st bday party and then Sunday is Franklin's bday! WHEW.. we're busy this week!

Allie, Will you be my Valentine?

My best friend, Elizabeth, and her daughter, Allie came up last week for a visit! We always have a great time but we can't EVER get them to smile at the same time, not to mention both babies get so excited to see each other they will NOT nap!! I dont think either baby was awake by the time they got out of our neighborhood! Oh well!
Allie is such a cutie patootie! She liked Grants jumperoo and decided she'd wear her boyfriends cowboy hat!

Church, Grandpa, and a tooth!

We had a big day yesterday! I've been taking Grant to church and he seems to like it! Here he is all dressed up! Franklin's Dad, Frank aka: Grandpa, also came up to see him and we had a great visit! We went to have lunch and then to Stone's River Park for a stroll! While strolling Grant smiled big and I thought I saw something in his mouth but thought.. nah... sure enough I stuck my finger in his mouth and there was a tooth!!!! I'm so proud!!! I tried to get a picture of it but you couldnt tell what it was! When it comes through more I will get a good picture!

My Little Chunk!

I took Grant to the Dr. yesterday because he sounded congested and acting super clingy! Who knew that teething could cause upper resp. infections and fluid on the ear? NOT ME! He's not contageous just has a runny nose and a cough and pulling at those sweet ears! To feel so cruddy he's been really sweet! I found the most amusement when they weighed him... are you ready? 20 lbs and 10 ozs (and he just turned 5 months yesterday!)... thats right.. he's pushing 21 lbs! I mean... my nephew thats about to be 1 next week only weighs 22 lbs! The dr assured me he's not fat just a BIG BABY! Here is a picture of Grant next to Yates.. I find this hilarious! (These pics were taken on our Gatlinburg trip two weeks ago!)

Thank goodness for parents! Franklin has been gone this week to San Antonio for work and I, needing a little help and being chicken to stay home alone, went to my Dad's house to stay for a few days! Its been great having the help, although Grant is teething and been a bit of a grump and SUPER clingy. I can see a white spot on his gums so I imagine it will be any day! Tomorrow we're gonna venture to my Mom's if he's feeling better, and weather permitting, its mighty cold out there! I appreciate the help I get from both sets of my parents, there's nothing better than knowing he's with my parents. I dont like leaving my baby for more than hour or so just to get some "fresh air" but its great knowing I have my parents to help me!
